Doug Himsl, Broker
Doug is the founder of the Himsl Real Estate Company. Prior to earning his real estate license, Doug manufactured home and land subdivisions in Oregon from 1980-82. He entered the Real Estate Field in 1983 by earning his real estate license in Washington and he graduated from the Realtors Institute in 1985.
Prior to opening his own company, Doug found much success in the real estate industry. In 1987 he was elected President of Lower Valley Board of Realtors and was also named Realtor of the Year. During this time he also managed railroad land leasing for Washington Central Railroad.
In April 1995 Doug took the next big step and opened Himsl Real Estate Company. Ever since he has made this pledge consistently to his clients, “Service First — Compensation Last”!
Currently Himsl Real Estate Company has offices in Yakima and Prosser, Washington. In addition to residential clients, Doug’s team has managed sub contracts for the U.S. Department of Housing, sub agents for Wells/Fargo-Premiere, and land management for Washington Central Railroad.
In order to stay on top of his real estate knowledge, Doug participates in continuing education classes through the Professional School of Washington Real Estate and through Pro Schools of Washington.
Doug’s outside interests include: Boy Scouts of America and Eagle advancement Committee. He is also a contributor to Performing Arts and Public Television.
Beth Laurich, Broker Realtor
Beth is a Montana native and graduated from nursing school in Minnesota before moving to beautiful Washington State. She and her husband moved to the Prosser area in 1987 from the Tacoma area and she started in Real Estate in 2006. Shortly thereafter Beth joined the team at the Himsl Real Estate Company.
Beth’s previous career as a nurse in local clinics and hospitals shows her dedication to helping people, which has carried over to her real estate career. She is fluent in Spanish and also has a working knowledge of ASL, both of which are tremendous assets to our real estate team.
She also balances real estate with her job for the local school district as a Special Needs Bus driver. When she’s not working you can find Beth taking continuing education classes at Washington Real Estate School and Pro Schools.
Connie Gustafson, Realtor
Connie has been a licensed realtor in Washington State for 17+ years and is proud to be the newest team member at Himsl Real Estate. She is a Washington native, born and raised in Prosser and is a PHS graduate, Class of 1972. Her local roots run deep in Prosser, with her husband, Greg, working for the city in various capacities for over 25 years.
Upon high school graduation, Connie attended USD in California, enrolling in the paralegal program with a focus in corporate real estate and has an Accredited Buyer Designation. Connie’s past business experience includes working for Moore and Mellor Realty, with Ross Mellor and Gail Blair. In 2001, Travis Davis purchased Moore and Mellor Realty, which later merged with Coldwell Banker Tomlinson. It then became Coldwell Banker Tomlinson Wine Country on Chardonnay Avenue in 2008.
In February 2013, Travis Davis took the position of Designated Broker at Coldwell Banker in Kennewick, so the realtors in that office were all disbursed to other real estate offices.
Connie is looking forward to her next chapter with Himsl Real Estate Company in downtown Prosser. “It’s great to be back downtown,” said Connie. “I look forward to seeing all the familiar faces that I missed over the years!” Working with people and helping them find the perfect home for all of their needs is Connie’s passion.
